ARTIST STATEMENT

My artwork explores a liminal space between internal and external experience, referencing the body as a site of trauma, transformation, and healing. Drawing inspiration from mythologies, archetypal narratives, biological forms, and patterns found in nature, my artwork often captures moments of growth and decay, descent and emergence, secrecy and visibility, and isolation and connection. I utilize watercolor, gouache, cut paper, collage, and transfer techniques to create layered works on paper that are evocative of emotional and visceral felt senses.
