ARTIST STATEMENT
My work is highly painting driven however, often it branches out into photography and installation. It is through these disciplines that I explore the fluctuating nature of my psychology. I use archetypal figures to express significant emotional states that have the power to overtake one's consciousness in moments of solitude. Such states embodied by moments of exploration, solemnity, and alienation color the landscape that the figures occupy. In effect, these significant instances render the boundary between the internal and external worlds almost undetectable.
